All Smart rental vehicles come with Comprehensive Standard Insurance.
This means the Hirer and authorized drivers are indemnified for damage caused to the vehicle and third party property. In the event of any damage, including glass and or tyres the Hirer is liable for the Excess Liability of NZ$3500.00.
Over 25-year-old Hirers can reduce their liability by purchasing at the car pickup time, or online at reservation time

Excess Liability Reduction (ERL)

An additional daily charge of NZ$29.50 to a maximum overall cost of $501.50 to reduce your liability to NZ$460.00

Super Excess Liability Reduction (SERL)

An additional daily charge of NZ$49.50 to a maximum overall cost of $841.50 to reduce your liability to ZERO
